The aim of this performative piece was to invite individuals from the audience to engage in one on one conversation. The acrylic text bubble and chairs served to create a liminal space in which to connect with another human being and to receive undivided attention. Interestingly, the text bubble had the effect of focusing attention on the person in front of you and diminishing the fact that we were sitting in a public space. During the performance, participants exchanged their experiences and feelings regarding communication and the pros and cons of our digital world. Others who experienced the work on their own simply used the space to catch up with one another.
